Tampa Bay’s Choice for Wedding Photography
Why Choose Booray Perry Photography?
Well, the easy answer is that I’m awesome!
Actually, there’s plenty of great reasons to choose me as your wedding photographer so let’s get started.
First, I’m quite good and very experienced. The images speak for themselves but there’s other stuff that’s good to know too. I photograph about 80 weddings a year under all types of lighting conditions. Bright sunlight, dark church, wind, hail, fire and brimstone… I’ve seen it all and photographed it too. Browse through some of the wedding images in the galleries above and you’ll see quite a variety of styles and locations. I take pride in my ability to work anywhere and produce images that you will cherish forever.
Next, I’m a full-time professional. That may seem like an obvious point but it’s really not anymore. You have enough to worry about without having to worry about your photographer and with Booray Perry Photography you are in good hands, start to finish. I use the very best equipment, am fully licensed and insured, and deliver in a timely manner. Professionalism is a dying concept as the market becomes saturated with people who don’t take the steps necessary to insure they can deliver great images every time. Whomever you choose to be your wedding photographer, even if it’s not me, make sure they are a reputable professional so there won’t be any surprises.
Then there’s products, etc. Custom Albums, Framed Wall Art, Canvas Gallery Wraps, Photo Guest Books, “Save-The-Date” Cards, Custom Invitations, Table Placards, and the best Photo Booth in town!
Life can be pretty hectic and it’s tempting to just ask a bunch of photographers for quotes and “pick a price.” Don’t give into temptation. You need to see the albums and products to compare their quality. See, touch, feel, lick (we don’t judge people here..). You also need to meet your photographer and make sure you are comfortable with him because he will be with you all day on the biggest day of your life. (note: “See, Touch, Feel” is fine but there is a small fee for licking the photographer.)
Reputation is important. I’m a member of The Professional Photographers Association of America, The Florida Professional Photographers Association and the Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association. My images are award-winning and I have great references and reviews online. I was named “Wedding Photographer of the Year” in 2012 ,2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 by The Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association, the largest guild in the State of Florida (8th largest in the country). They even gave me a plaque. Sometimes I wear it around my neck like a medallion.
This page used to have a bunch of “smiley face” emoticons all over it because I was worried that people wouldn’t realize I was joking about wearing the plaque like a medallion, etc. Then I realized that anyone who doesn’t have a sense of humor probably wouldn’t want me as their photographer anyway and took them out. :) Except for that one.
Then there’s certification. Only 6% of the photographers in the Professional Photographers Association of America are Certified Photographers. It’s not easy. There’s a big written test with about 100 questions and then you have to submit images for peer review by other certified photographers who decide if you’re good enough. It’s pretty intense. Like “Shark Tank.”
Finally, there’s customer service. I return calls, answer emails and get things done quickly. I can’t believe it’s even necessary to point this out because I can’t imagine running a business any other way but apparently there are people who do. With Booray Perry Photography you know that you are getting a reputable, professional, experienced company to provide you with all your photographic and printing needs… not just for your wedding but for years to come as your family grows.
Also, I’m awesome. Did I mention the awesome part?

I Like Surprises
I photograph a lot of weddings and you would think, by now, that I would be a little, I don't know, jaded. You know... the grizzled veteran who's seen it all and never gets surprised anymore. But I get surprised all the time and it's not the big things that surprise...
