St. Augustine Wedding Photography
I recently had the priviledge of photographing Nikki and Tom’s wedding in St. Augustine, Florida. It was my first trip to St. Augustine and I really loved it. The city is great and so full of history (which I love) and the beach has a very “small-town” feel. The only concern I had was that the sun wouldn’t be setting into the ocean, the way it does here on the Gulf Coast, but that turned out to not be a problem at all because the beach is so deep (and the buildings so small) that you can still shoot against a fantastic sunset with no real distractions… and what a sunset we had!
We also took time to hop into town and take pictures around Flagler College, which is a great location.
One of the great things about Nikki and Tom is that they are outgoing and fun… and not afraid to show it for the camera. We got so many great images of them smiling, laughing, crying… it was hard to narrow down to the few I’m posting here.
It was a wonderful experience and I hope i get to work there again soon!
Here are a few of my favorites from the day. :)

I Finally Get Billing…
I always mention “Uncle Bob” to my couples before the wedding, in case they have someone in their family who might disrupt the photography. However, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a couple put it in writing… and the first time I’ve ever been mentioned in a wedding program.
The whole program was a riot. :)
Canvas Makes Me happy
There’s so many ways to display your images. Prints, frames, digital… but for me, nothing beats canvas. It just soaks up the ink and renders colors so rich…
Two new pieces arrived today for a wedding later this month. It seems that people are shying away from displaying prints in their homes, many preferring to just keep everything on a disk somewhere or (God forbid) look at everything on their phone. I can tell you from personal experience that canvas prints on the walls of your home will bring you joy on a daily basis. Every time you walk by you will smile. They’re a great investment in the happiness of your home.
