White Barn Wedding Brooksville
Time for a quick sneek peak of the wedding of Samantha and Julian, yesterday at The White Barn in Brooksville. It was my first time photographing a wedding there (it’s only been open for about a year and most people book a year out so…).
From a photographer’s point of view, you really couldn’t ask for a better day. The weather was perfect. The White Barn is fantastic and the bride and groom are wonderful and sweet and willing to do anything I asked to get a good picture. Samantha and Julian couldn’t have been more wonderful to work with.
I’ve still got a lot of work to do but I wanted to get a few pictures online for a sneak peek. :)
I love signs. I don’t know why but I do… and I especially like old, rustic signs so I was in heaven yesterday…
I shoot a lot of weddings at a lot of places so you start to notice the little things after a while. You can tell that this barn was built for weddings (compared to one that was converted).
50 Years Is A Long Time To Wait For A Re-print
I recently was asked to photograph a 50-year vow renewal at Isla Del Sol in St. Petersburg. I don’t get to do many of these because not everybody makes it to 50 years of marriage and those that do don’t always have a vow renewal.
But when they do, and I get to photograph it, it’s always a treat. I imagine it’s very special to the couple for several reasons, one of them being that most everyone at the ceremony was born after their first wedding. Renewing your vows in front of an audience that includes quite a few people who only exist because you got married the first time is pretty cool.
This last one was great and I was especially interested in the picture they had on display from their first wedding. I love old wedding photography. So, we decided to re-enact it 50 years later:
I shot the first one for the happy couple but I shot the second one for me. They wanted a re-enactment photo and I wanted one that showed the original as well so I could share it with you. :)
Sirata wedding | Rich and Laura
Yesterday I photographed Richard and Laura’s wedding at The Sirata Resort in St. Pete. It was a great day, everything went smoothly (Laura is a great organizer) and the family was just fantastic! So many images to go through but I wanted to get a couple online for Laura so she can see how beautiful she looked!
Laura was nice enough to have her dresses already posed for me. The easiest “dress shot” I’ve ever taken. :)
Seriously, I wanted to marry her myself. Look at how beautiful she was!
The storm started rolling in right as the ceremony started but held off until after the first kiss..
I have a whole basket of parasols at the house but that’s okay because Laura brought her own.
The storm prevented us from going to the waters edge after the ceremony but no worries because Laura and Rich did a “First Look” before the ceremony as well as bridal party pictures (like the one above). We knew it might rain, so we shot everything before the ceremony that we could and it’s a good thing we did because we couldn’t have done it after.
It really was a great day!
